Free Money, Get-Paid-To Programs

Get-Paid-To (GPT) programs are offered by websites who are being paid for their advertising or recruiting services. These websites are essentially sharing some of their advertising revenue with you.

Many would argue that some GPT programs aren't worth the time. They often require that you earn a certain amount before they pay you, and they pay very little per required action, so it takes forever to get paid. For example, a get-paid-to site could require that you earn $50 before they pay you and you can earn 10 cents for reading 3 emails. If it took you a half hour to read 3 emails, then you would have to read emails for 250 hours before getting paid. However, this math is just an example. Some sites offer much better deals for your time.

Get Paid To sites can be risky. There are actual paying websites out there and there are a lot of scams. So it helps to have third party websites to refer to in order to choose a site that will actually pay you and not scam you. The Better Business Bureau is a good one to start with, but the BBB doesn't always list websites. Another good third party website for GPT programs is GPTboycott.com. If a program is even on the watchlist at GPTboycott.com, I wouldn't try it. GPTboycott.com suggests going to BeenPaid.com to find verified paying programs (this has not been tried by ActuallyFree.info)

TIP: Don't ever pay for a database that shows you where you can find "Get Paid To" programs. You should never have to pay to get paid.

If you know of a program that should be included on this page, please submit it for review.

Get paid to drive your car.

Sometimes businesses will dedicate a portion of their advertising budget to pay people for ad space on their cars. This could be beneficial for the business since the ad goes where ever the driver goes. This is also beneficial for the driver since they don't do anything different and they get paid every month just for driving. According to some ads, participating in these programs sometimes means getting a free car. There are restrictions that apply. Usually in order to participate you have to drive a certain number of miles a month in heavily populated areas.

Get paid to mystery shop.

Mystery shoppers are usually registered with an agency. When a business wants to improve their customer service, they contact the agency and the agency sends the mystery shopper. The mystery shopper goes to the business without the business knowing his or her identity (hence the "mystery" title). The mystery shopper buys something on the company's tab and performs some other tasks depending on the instructions received. Then later the mystery shopper makes a report of the experience. The business then uses the information in that report to improve their services.

Taking a job as a mystery shopper can provide payment and free samples of products or free food, so its a free double whammy!

Becoming a mystery shopper is free!  Remember, don't ever pay to get paid.

Get paid to travel (or travel for free)

I've heard that there are agencies that offer to hire live carriers for packages that need to be delivered across the country or in other countries. Once the package is delivered, the person hired is free to tour around. I'm currently researching this to see how valid it is. I'll post some resources once I find them. If you have any verifiable info on this subject please let me know.
