Back to Free MoneyActually Free HomeFree Money, Refer-a-Friend Programs
Referral programs are offered by businesses who want to spread the word about their products. The businesses pay people who refer their friends and they often pay the friends also.
It is possible to get completely-free money from refer-a-friend programs because some programs only require that the referred friend sign up for a free trial or free membership. If you're friends are willing to do free trials, make sure they cancel the subscription at the end of the trial in order to avoid paying for something they don't want. It sounds simple, but businesses actually make a lot of money from free trials because people forget to cancel the subscription.
Some of the best refer-a-friend programs are offered by banks because banking is free. As mentioned on the Bank Bonuses page, the friend must usually be a new customer and keep an initial minimum deposit in the new account for a period of time. For which they earn interest.
