Religious FreebiesReligious freebies are often paid for by members of the church which offers the freebies. As a courtesy these freebies should not be abused. Abuse would limit the resources given to the individuals for whom they were intended; and it would mock those who have the spirit of giving. Reasons why these freebies are available could include: spreading the gospel word, fulfillment in helping others, sharing the happiness that comes with spiritual life, and following God's commandments to care for one's neighbor.
Many free sites that list
free samples have a religious freebies section. An excellent example of a religious freebies provider is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The LDS Church, whose members are known as "mormons").
While the LDS Church has a number humanitarian efforts, some of which include
measles vaccination campaigns,
neonatal resuscitation training,
clean water projects,
wheelchair distribution,
vision treatment,
welfare,
the perpetual education fund, and
natural disaster relief (just to name a few), it also offers several of the classic religious freebies. The most common being the Bible (at least in Christian circles).
