free samples and gifts that are usually provided by a church. Many free sites that list free samples have a
religious freebies section. Since the churches that provide these freebies receive their funds from member donations, it would be courteous to only request these items if you plan to use them regularly (or religiously). Reasons why these freebies are available could include: spreading the
gospel word, procelytizing and increasing church membership, for self fulfillment that is felt when helping others, sharing
the happiness that comes with spiritual life, and following God's
commandment to care for one's neighbor.
An excellent religious freebies provider is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church is also known as the LDS Church, and church members are known as "mormons". While the LDS Church has a number humanitarian efforts, some of which include
measles vaccination campaigns,
neonatal resuscitation training,
clean water projects,
wheelchair distribution,
vision treatment,
welfare,
the perpetual education fund, and
natural disaster relief (just to name a few), it also offers several of the classic religious freebies. The most common of which is probably the Bible (at least in Christian circles).
